Why did you pursue a career in Marketing, Fraser

A curiosity with how people behave and interact with technology was probably the trigger for me. After studying Sociology as one of my majors at university, I became increasingly intrigued with this relationship to the point that I started to teach myself and study digital marketing and UX (user experience). At the time, the digital marketing industry was still really young in NZ and it was a great environment for me to feed that curiosity!

What makes Virtual work the right fit for you?

I love the flexibility that comes with it. Having the ability to switch off if I’m not feeling particularly motivated or creative is really important. Also, having the space and time to be there for people I care about is also a major positive.

Most rewarding career moment so far?

Achieving 10th Fastest Growing company in NZ 2015 (top 500 in Asia-Pacific) as part of a small and passionate team at Uprise Digital.

What are you going to tick off the bucket list in the next 5 years?

• Hopefully buying my first home very soon!

• Launch a small online business/product

• Ski in Canada/USA

• Learn to DIY and build myself some furniture
