How can I know time is being spent well when hiring a Virtual Marketer or team member?

To be honest, ultimately you don’t. But like many freelancers I know and work with, it’s irrelevant what time is spent on a project. It’s more about the output and quality of work and results gained from it.

Set the expectations up front. When I start working with a new client, we agree on expectations including timings, scope and pricing and check-in regularly on progress. I operate on the ‘no surprises method’ i.e. no surprises in costs, results and expectations.

Using a good experienced digital marketer like myself will ensure you get a good return on investment from the price you pay and the results you’ll get by setting strong and sound strategies up front. We’re all about the return.

I offer fixed fees and hourly rates - it’s up to you how you work with a contractor.

I also love spending some time in my clients offices. It’s essential for me to get a good feel for the business, the teams and also the people who come into the business while I am there. I’ll often recommend I spend a day a week initially in the business offices to establish some baselines for the teams capacity, the efficiency of the processes and to be able to have those water cooler conversations with all sorts of team members.

When people are experienced specialists, you don’t pay for the time they’ll need to learn how to determine the metrics or how to use the programmes and tools or costs associated with their business.

We essentially know how to get stuff done and often come with references should you wish to double check we’re the right fit for your business.
